What are cat-on products made of?

Our scratching furniture is made of individual layers of high-quality corrugated cardboard, which we source from regional suppliers and process in our facility using the latest technology. Contrary to the perception of many that our products are cut from a single block, we actually glue each layer individually by hand to ultimately produce a perfect, stable, and clean scratching furniture. Cat-on simply smells clean, like paper.

Why do cat-on products last significantly longer than products from, for example, pet discounters?

ZOne reason is the aforementioned elaborate processing, but also the special selection of high-quality papers with long fresh wood fibers, which guarantee a long lifespan. Surface wear and tear is generally visible and unavoidable on the furniture, but our customers report that our products often provide reliable service for many years. Replacement usually has purely aesthetic reasons.

Products from other manufacturers usually come from industrial production, mostly from the Far East or Poland, and are cut from a block of inferior corrugated cardboard, so-called waste paperboard. The lifespan of these products is a few weeks, as the papers consist of paper slag and contain almost no wood fibers.

Can I use the products outdoors for my cats?

Paper and corrugated cardboard generally do not tolerate contact with water or fire well. However, outdoor use, for example, under a roof or on a protected balcony, is not a problem in the long term. For a long lifespan, the products should be protected against splash water. Outdoor use in dry weather is completely unproblematic.

Why is the merchandise not shipped immediately after the order?

Our products are not in stock. To offer a wide variety of models and colors, we produce the products individually by hand after receipt of payment. We manufacture each piece of cat furniture from cutting to printing and gluing entirely in our workshop in Berlin. This allows us to accommodate individual wishes or changes at any time.

Aside from the in-house manufacturing of the furniture, we also pack very elaborately to give you the best possible experience when unpacking with your cats and to avoid any transport damage as much as possible. Many boxes are also handmade for you. All in all, the process from ordering to shipping is very time-consuming. Depending on the current volume of orders, we indicate an average delivery time within Germany of up to 14 working days, corresponding to just under 3 weeks.

For urgent occasions, such as a cat moving in or a birthday, we can respond to individual inquiries so that the order arrives on time for an important event.

Do you also ship abroad?

Yes, we ship our products worldwide. However, due to the always individual shipping volume of the packages, shipping costs for certain countries and continents must be calculated individually.

If the desired delivery country is not selectable in the shop, we ask you to send an inquiry by email. We will then create a suitable offer with optimized shipping costs for you.

The warm exhaust air from our machines is used to heat our company by 95% in the cold months, thus conserving valuable resources. Our paper waste is pressed separately and returned directly to the paper industry, thus ensuring a tightly closed
